ReviewsAverage Customer Rating: Based on 12 reviews. Write a reviewRating: - Good Reviewer: derek from new westminster, British Columbia To be honest I was never a big Bret fan, I always felt (based on Japan & Stampede) that Owen was the better wrestler & I still stand by that, but none the less this is a great dvd. Bret is deffanetly 1 of Canada's best. I have to say my 4 favorite matches on this dvd are.
1: Bret Hart Vs Owen Hart - Wrestlemania X, 03/20/94 2: Bret Hart Vs Chris Benoit - WCW Nitro, 10/04/99 (Owen Hart Tribute Match) 3: Bret Hart Vs Curt Hennig (Mr. Perfect) - King of the Ring, 06/13/93 3: British Bulldogs Vs Hart Foundation - Madison Square Garden, 07/13/85Rating: - the excellence of dvd Reviewer: paul from brockville, Ontario i absolutely love this dvd and bret. every match on here is an instant classic, but there were a couple of bad matches like against hakushi and bam bam because that match was in another language. the only thing i did not like was that they had the nasty boys but no demolition was up with datRating: - A 5***** DVD Reviewer: Dave from Parsonsburg, Maryland I'll argue any day that the Bret Hart DVD is the best that WWE has ever released. Even though there were a few key matches missing (especially some with Dynamite Kid!), Bret Hart is someone who should have 3 DVD retrospectives of his career released, because he was just that great of a wrestler.
I grew up watching Bret, and he was my favorite wrestler. Watching this (along with Hitman Hart: Wrestling With Shadows) DVD simply reminds me of why Bret was my favorite then... and why he remains my favorite to this day.
People can claim that he's a whiner or has a big ego, but he's a class act, and this DVD is a reminder of how Bret worked his entire career to perfect his craft.
It's going to be a long time before there's a DVD greater than this one.Rating: - Bret Hart DVD Reviewer: Greg from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Bret Hart was simply the best their is, the best their was and best their ever will be. This DVD is awesome. I'm very happy that he came back to the WWE for the hall of fame that was great. This DVD is a must have for any Bret Hart and WWE fan.Rating: - Very good Reviewer: Aaron from Bowling Green, Ohio I found this DVD to be one of the best WWE has released.I enjoyed the documentary very much and the matches were superb. There were some matches that I would've liked to have seen on there, but I don't feel wronged.Great DVD!!!!!!!Rating: - Best DVD Reviewer: David from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico Bret Hart's 18 matches are amazing and the documentary was cool because of his reencounter eith Vince.Rating: - Great DVD! Reviewer: Matthew from bayside, New York This DVD has some amazing early footage of bret hart back when he was just barely 100 lbs in Stampede wrestling. The first 40 minutes or so are, in fact, just his stampede days. This is one of the most thorough DVD's that WWE has done. The matches are very good too. Bret does have quite the big ego but it is nice to hear his side on many topics. I can not think of anything bad in this DVD set at all, one of the best documentaries and awesome matches. Get it, you will not regret it!Rating: - Great wrestler but sore loser Reviewer: hani from ypsilanti, Michigan I was never really a big Bret Hart fan back in the day so when i purchased this DVD i didnt expect much. But i was wrong. I had no idea how much of a whiner he is. Nether the less it was still a well put documentary about his life and career. The reson i give this DVD four stars is because of the matches. Come on where is the Iron Man Match with Shawn Micheals. It was only voted best WrestleMania Match of all time.
Great Matches Both matches with Owen (R.I.P) Both matches with Mr. Perfect (R.I.P) Both matches with Bulldog His match with Austin
Not so good matches
Bam Bam Bigalo Diesel DeBiase
My personal Favorite match is the Tribute Match with Chris Benoit
The weirdest match on the DVD is the Match with Hakushi. (Kind of random isnt it?)Rating: - Good, but not w/o flaws Reviewer: John T. from Charlotte, North Carolina I must say I was far more pleased w/this DVD than I thought I would be. I am not a Bret art fan, but I am a big fan of his work. That should give a different perspective to those out there who aren't Bret marks, and are unsure if they should get this set. Plusses: 2 vs. Mr. Perfect, 2 vs. Owen, 2 vs. Bulldog, vs. Austin, vs. Steamboat (Bret was a lot better then than he was given credit for) Minuses: No commentary on the Dibiase match. Spanish commentary ONLY on BBB match. Bret rehashes the same whiny crap he has been saying for 8 years. No matches vs. Michaels or Hall (Razor Ramon). Mixture of both: I love the Owen Hart tribute match, but it was already on the Benoit DVD. It would have been cool if he had added the Mayhem WCW World Heavyweight Championship tournament final match vs. Benoit instead.
All in all, I have to recommend this DVD. It has both really rare and classic stuff. The matches are all top shelf (excluding WMVII vs. Nasty Boys) (Why was THAT match on here?). Anyway, **** & 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!Rating: - GREAT Reviewer: nawaspanky from Cartersville, Georgia THIS IS THE BEST DVD EVER MY TOP 5 DVD ARE 1.BRET HART 2.CHRIS BENOIT 3.EDDIE GUERRERO 4.RIC FLAIR 5.JAKE THE SNAKERating: - THe BEst there is? Not really Reviewer: kostas from Serres, Other Bret HArt is surely one of the greatest storytellers in the ring . but i must say that i was dissapointed at the way he wins his matches. i mean he almost always comes up with a pin from nowhere and he wins it. that may have seemed spectacular at that day, but nowadays we have come to know exactly when to expcet these finsihers,so to say that they catch you off guard is not right. ANy way the documentary is still pretty good, and if u want to see the matches u Must See the following.
Owen HArt Tribute Match: Classic. every match that has Bret and CHris in it is a classic hands out
Bret vs Stone COld:Maybe the best match of Bret's carrer
Bret vs British bulldog: Great great great.
These are in my opinion Bret best matchs in the DVD, although i haven't see nall of them his matches with Mr. Perfect are also good . a Must have but the HArd Knocks : Chris BEnoit story is a better purchaseRating: - Amazing DVD!!! Reviewer: dynamicdave from Long Branch, New Jersey Probably one of the most awaited and best produced DVDs ever put out by the WWE. I am sure some people will criticize the match listings, but realizing that Bret Hart picked these and not the WWE really gives you an idea of Bret's favorite matches. Plus the documentary is excellent! Its honest, doesn't hide behind WWE politics and is very educational. I recommend this DVD to all fans. |
