We have produced "shoot interviews" with wrestling legends before and we have even completed a bigger challenge, the Dynamite Kid Documentary funded on Kickstarter.

Now we have produced the definitive documentary on Jim Crockett Promotions and how that company impacted wrestlers, wrestling fans, and the wrestling world. We cover from it's beginnings up until it was sold to Ted Turner.

Thanks to your financial support, we have acquired the licensing rights to some never before seen handheld footage from Mr. George Pantas. Mr Pantas was a videographer that lived in Virginia and was given special permission by the promoters to shoot ringside. This footage was shot over the mid 70s to 1983 and will provide some fantastic B roll footage for the Crockett documentary.

Footage for talents like Wahoo McDaniel, Greg Valentine, Paul Jones, Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Dusty Rhodes, Roddy Piper, BlackJack Mulligan, and several more with NEVER BEFORE scene Arena footage. This is the only known footage of the Crockett promotion that is currently not owned by the WWE, so we're happy that it will now be part of the collection. We'll obviously use alot of this footage as "B roll" in the actual documentary, but we'll additionally have this footage to use on the "extras" that will be part of the 3 disc DVD release!

Really well packaged and produced, this documentary is for anyone that has an appreciation for old school 'rasslin. The lack of footage is compensated by a wealth of amazing photos and insightful commentary by those who made it happen. This is great material for purists who miss the old days before 'sports entertainment'. Truly the glory days.

For someone like myself who grew up watching the NWA, this is a must see DVD. The bonus disc with the complete interview with Jim Crockett is awesome. Lots of great stories of what happened back in the 80's. Highly recommend this one.

I grew up in Virginia watching NWA wrestling. I would go to the flea market as a kid and buy Rock-n-roll Express and Dusty Rhodes t-shirts. I would go nuts when Boogie Woogie Man would feud against the assassins. This DVD set is very well done and the coverage of the history really answers some questions you won't find in the NWA-WCW related products released by WWE. The additional discs are excellent and offer interviews galore. The highlights are the JJ Dillon, Jim Cornette and Jim Crockett Jr. segments. Highly recommend!!

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5 Top Notch Documentary/Professionally Done, 8.12.2013

I was very pleased by Highspots' and Ellbow Productions' efforts on this. The documentary covers about everything from the beginning until the end with a lot of key input from major players like Paul Jones, Jim Cornette, Rock 'n Roll Express, Ole Anderson, Tully Blanchard, J.J. Dillon and last but not least, the Crockett brothers (all 3 of them!). Diehard fans will know a lot of this stuff already but there were some revelations made. Jim Crockett, Jr. was very forthcoming and held back very little except when it came to listing Dusty Rhodes "faults" as he called them. Clips from Rhodes' previous shoot with RF video are included as well as Ric Flair's shoot with Highspots from 2008. The extras are not just throw away clips but give us some really good extra stuff like Ronnie Garvin explaining why he left when he did, Bill Eadie tells a good story about refusing to do the honors for Magnum TA and J.J. Dillon gives a tour of his wrestling memorabilia. Jim Cornette also tells some good stories. I do get a kick out of Tully telling his story about leaving again and acting like it's a big revelation. If you've watched his other interviews including WWE's Horsemen DVD he has told that story countless times! The George Pantas match footage is fine for what it is, but it's mostly just some edited short clips from back in the late 70s at the Norfolk Scope. If you were disappointed with the quality of the Dynamite Kid documentary you won't be with this one. Complaints about that were apparently taken seriously and corrected in this documentary. It's very much in the WWE style which ironically is a good thing when it comes to DVDs like this.
