How Do I Play MP4 Files On My iPhone or iPod?
MP4 files are compatible with Apple's popular iPhone and iPod players with video capabilities. In order to synch the video to your iPhone or iPod you will first need to import the video into iTunes. In iTunes select the "Add to Library" option from the iTunes File menu and import the video into iTunes.

From iTunes you can then synch the video to your player. You may need to convert the MP4 to an iPhone compatible MP4 file using iTunes built in "Create iPod or iPhone Version" from the Advanced menu within iTunes.
