In this interview Highspots struts down memory lane with arguably the greatest tag team ofall time, the original Midnight Express; "Beautiful" Bobby Eaton and "Loverboy" Dennis Condrey.
The former NWA World Tag Team Champions discuss their respective starts in the business, as well as the origins of the Midnight Express as a six-man tag team unit. Hear Eaton and Condrey recall their first impressions of each other, as well as their legendary manager Jim Cornette.
From there the Midnights take you through their stints in Mid-South, World Class, and of course the NWA. Along the way you'll hear details of their classic feuds with the Rock 'n' Roll Express, Road Warriors and Fantastics, as well as their infamous string of scaffold matches.
Among the topics discussed candidly are the rigors and temptations of being on the road 7 days a week and its effect on their personal lives, oft-time violent run-ins with fans, Condrey's initial departure from the NWA and replacement by Stan Lane, the Midnight Express vs. "Original" Midnight Express feud which put the two on opposing sides, and Condrey's controversial decision to leave the promotion prior to the feud's conclusion.
Finally the pair recall their recent, emotional reunion with each other and Cornette after years of estrangement, how it feels to return to the ring and rekindle their battles with the Rock 'n' Roll Express in 2004, and give their opinions on the current state of the wrestling industry.
