The Ultimate Fighting Championship gained notoriety for its no-holds barred, mixed-style fighting tournaments. In recent years, however, with the addition of more rules and safety regulations, the UFC has increasingly been regarded as a legitimate sporting event, on a par with boxing and professional wrestling.
One of UFC's most exciting events took place on October 22, 2004, with UFC 50: THE WAR OF '04. The two title bouts featured UFC stars Tito Ortiz against Patrick Cot and Matt Hughes against Georges St. Pierre. Seven total fights took place to determine who was the ultimate fighting champion!
