One of the all-time most popular wrestlers in the United States, Sting was just as big of a hit overseas during his hey-day of the 1990s. Sting certaintly had some "forgotten classics" in Japan along the way, as his U.S. rivalry with the Great Muta/Keiji Muto continued on Muta's home turf as well as great and unique battles with the likes of Antonio Inoki and Rick Rude.

  1. Sting vs. Dan Spivey (1/25/89)
  2. Sting vs. The Great Muta (3/21/91) (Japan Version)
  3. Sting & The Great Muta vs. Rick & Scott Steiner (1/4/92)
  4. Sting vs. IWGP Champion The Great Muta (11/22/92)
  5. Sting vs. International Champion Rick Rude (the match that ended Rude's career, 5/3/94)
  6. Sting vs. Tony Balmore (BVD Tournament Semi-finals, 1/4/95)
  7. Sting vs. Antonio Inoki (BVD Tournament Finals, 1/4/95)
  8. Sting vs. Keiji Muto (9/23/95)
  9. Sting & Hawk vs. Big Bubba Rogers & Scott Norton (9/25/95)
  10. U.S. Champion Sting vs. Kensuke Sasaki (Sasaki wins title, 11/13/95)
  11. Sting & Keiji Mutoh vs. The Road Warriors (7:14, 7/16/96)
  12. Sting vs. Shiro Koshinaka (Japan/U.S. Superstars tournament quarterfinal match, 9/21/96)

If you where a fan of Sting in the early 90's then this is a must have. He has some great matches with Muta on this disc that make all of there US matches look horrible in comparison.

This is my favorite wrestler ever even surpassing Hogan and Austin. The only thing I would have done different is ad his Wcw/Njpw supershow match with Hiroshi Hase to the dvd but that is just a personal taste. THANK YOU HIGHSPOTS!

1. Sting vs. Danny Spivey - Big spot match. Lots of power moves. Not a lot of finess. Spivey was always an underated worker. Suprising finish. **3/4

2. Sting vs. The Great Muta - One of their best matches. They could do so much more in Japan than in the US. ****1/2 (love how Sting attacks both Spivey and Muta after he loses)

3. Sting & The Great Muta vs. The Steiner Brothers. Great tag team match. One of the best of the era. 4 of the best athletes of that time frame in one ring. ****

4. Sting vs. The Grat Muta (IWGP Title) - Nice quick paced match. No let up from either man. ***1/2

5. Sting vs. Rick Rude - What can you say about Rude's last match? He was one of the best heels ever!!! I give this ***** just because!

6. Sting vs. Tony Balmore - Never heard of or seen Balmore before this match. Was Painfule to watch an old kick boxer fight a wrestler. Match. * 1/2.

7. Sting vs. Antonio Inoki - Inoki had hurt his knee in the earlier match (which is not on this set). Sting was smart and took advantage of this for his deathlock. I love watching Inoki. Glad he made the HOF. ***3/4

8. Sting vs. Keji Muthoh - Not their best but a great match none the less. Great to see Sting face his greates rivals alter ego. ****1/4

9. Sting & Hawk vs. Big Bubba & Scott Norton - Very good power tag match. ***

10. Sting vs. Kensuke Sasaki - I alway liked Sasaki. Very good wrestler. Too bad he never go much respect in the US. ***1/4.

11. Sting & Keji Mutoh vs. The Road Warriors - Muthoh wearing Sting make-up was really cool. Good power tag match. ***

12. Sting vs. Shiro Koshinaka - I have never seen Koshinaka before. Nice back and forthe match. The fans were really into this one. ***3/4
